Stretch Course

This course is designed to show you how, when and why you should stretch your horse, including posture for you, to minimise any damage to your back.

These course will include the 4 different sections of the horse and a stretch routine for you to use with your horse.

The 1st part will include Heath and Safety, horse handling, muscles stretched and the initial section which is the horses front legs. Due to it’s content, this initial part must be taken before moving to the rest of the horse.

You will be given handouts including the stretches performed, a list and picture of the muscles stretched and a suggested routine to be completed after exercise.

This course will have a maximum of 10 people and is designed to be fun and informative. We start at 10am and will continue until 5pm with 1 hour for lunch, though depending on how it goes this may run over slightly. There will also be plenty of time for questions.

You do not need any previous technical knowledge of the horses muscles, though you may find it useful familiarize yourself with a few muscle names. We will, however, cover them all during the course.

Confirmation

A letter of confirmation will be sent to you, including directions, and please make sure you have a pair of long trousers/Jods you can bend down in comfortably and a pair of stout leather boots (for safety - NO TRAINERS, SANDLES OR SHORTS).

If you would like to bring your own, very reliable, dependable pony or horse who does not mind having several people in it’s space, please let me know.
